Web and Mobile Check In

Do you know that you can now self check-in for flexibility and convenience from a web and also your mobile phone ? Try it for better experience.

All guests may enjoy Self Check-In except for:

  • guests with reduced mobility and those with special needs (required to check-in at counter).
  • Expectant mother (required to check-in at counter).
  • 10 or more guests under one booking number via Mobile/Kiosk Check-In.

After check-in

  • Name change is not allowed
  • Changes allowed after Self Check-In: Meals, Pick A Seat, flight change, upsize your Checked baggage and many others via Manage my booking.

Web Check-In

How do I web check-in?

Step 1: Check-in online

Enter your departure city and booking number in our web check-in tab. Then follow the instructions and print out your boarding pass.  Click here to view or download the easy guide.

Don’t have a printer?
Don’t worry, you can select other option(s) below to save and reprint later.

  • Receive the 2D Barcode via smart phone – Choose the option (smart phones only) during your web check-in process to get your 2D barcode so you can scan and print your boarding pass at the airport.
  • Receive the Boarding Pass via email – Choose the option during your web check-in process to keep a copy of your boarding pass in PDF and reprint later.

Step 2: At the airport

Drop your checked baggage (if any) at the baggage drop/document check counter and ensure that your documents are verified before proceeding to the security check point.
Please ensure that you follow our regulation for checked and cabin baggage.

Do remember to bring these documents along:

  • Self printed boarding pass
  • Passport/IC
  • Visa (if any)

Mobile Check-In

How do I mobile check-in?

Step 1: Check-in

Type in www.airasia.com on your mobile phone’s web browser; enter your departure city and booking number. Follow the steps shown and wait for an SMS that will be sent to your mobile number to confirm your check-in.
Android, BlackBerry and iPhone users can download AirAsia’s Mobile application to make check-in easier on the go.
Step 2: At the airport

a) Scan and print boarding pass

Please proceed to our 2D barcode scanners or Self Check-In kiosks at the airport. Scan the 2D barcode that is sent to you via sms. Your boarding pass will be printed at the kiosk.

2D barcode scanners that can be found in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand (Bangkok, Chiang Mai & Phuket) and Philippines (Clark) airport.

b) Document verification / Baggage drop

Drop your checked baggage (if any) at the baggage drop/document check counter and ensure that your documents are verified before proceeding to the security check point. Please ensure that you follow our regulation for checked and cabin baggage.

  • Self printed boarding pass
  • Passport/IC
  • Visa (if any)
